Good Evening all,

My birthday was last week and I just had to share three handmade cards with you that I received.

The first is from my Mum

The second, from my friend Kay

and the third, from my friend Sonia

Aren’t they all fabulous

They are all proudly displayed on the mantlepiece and will be for a wee while yet!

Anyway I will be back again soon with some cards of my own

Hi Everyone

I am absolutely thrilled today as I’ve just found out that one of my cards got picked as a top 3 at Moving along with the Times.

Thank You so much

Good Evening All

Forgot to post my piccies from our Christmas Crop at the beginning of July ūüėģ

Kay set the challenge this time and decided that we would make christmas cards using toppers that we already had in our stash.

So I dug out some Kanban toppers from a few years ago, I believe, and teamed them with some backing papers from my christmas box, some gold mirri card, ribbon and peel offs and hey presto a few cards to get me started.

Certainly seemed a bit odd doing christmas in July, but Create and Craft were doing Christmas in June, so really we were late!

Every year I keep telling myself I will be more organised with my christmas card making , so that I’m not rushing about at the last minute, but I have no doubt I will still find myself making cards on Christmas Eve ūüôā

Anyway that’s all for now, but I’ll be back again soon

very best wishes 10/07/2012

Good Evening All

Well this card was started quite late last night and I’ve not long since finished it this evening!¬† Makes it sound a bit epic, doesn’t it, but I have been to work in between!¬† It started off heading in one direction¬†and then I changed my mind halfway through ūüėČ

One of the girls at work turns 50 this week, so I thought I’d do something a bit¬†special for her.¬† The papers I have used are from Stampin Up and the bottom one is¬†flocked, which gives the card a very luxurious feel.

I’ll be very honest and tell you that I have used one of Sue Wilson’s previous card designs for my inspiration, but from there on in, it’s all my own work.¬† The base card has been made using 2 pieces of black card, cut,¬†folded and stuck together to make an 8×8.¬† I’ve then layered the various papers and pierced the base one around the edges.¬† The sentiment has been stamped and embossed and then cut out using my nesties.¬† The flowers have been cut using a Tim Holtz die and then I’ve spritzed them with water and scrunched them up.¬† The centre of the flowers are black pearl brads, which I got from the Hobby House along with the hat pins behind the bow.

I’m going to enter this into the following challenges:-

Cupcake Craft Challenges – Number Cruncher

Moving Along with the Times – Make it Sentimental

That Craft Place – Anything Goes

I’m really quite pleased with how this card turned out in the end and I really hope that Alison at work is pleased with it too ūüôā

Will be back again soon

Good Afternoon All

I know I’ve been quiet for a few weeks, just seem to have been really¬†rather busy!¬† Aren’t we all?

Anyway, finally got around to making some cards this week using the Mojo Monday sketch 248.¬† I’ve used an A6 card – which I haven’t done for ages – and a green and black colour scheme, which was inspired by the butterfly on the card.¬† The papers are from Stampin Up layered onto¬†some plain black card.¬† The sentiment is a stamp from Hot off the Press, which I’ve had for years.¬† I’ve used my nesties to cut the ovals and then I’ve inked with the die still in place using my¬†Distress Inks.¬†¬† It’s quite a striking colour scheme, but works really well.

Anyway, I’ll be back again soon, it’s crop day on Sunday so hopefully will have something to show for it at the end of the day! ūüôā
