Good Evening All

Well the week hasn’t improved much – I still don’t have a car, my Dad is poorly and work has been hard going.¬† Still, such is life!

So, I thought I would produce a nice bright card this week, and try to cheer things up a little ūüôā

I’ve used a cream¬†A5 card and the Mojo Monday layout for this week.¬† The papers are from Papermania and the lovely mustard coloured card is from Stampin Up, both of which seemed to tie in quite nicely with the flower that Tatty Ted is holding.¬† I’ve added some faux stitching around two of the layers with a sparkly gel pen and the letters have been cut with¬†my Cricut using¬†the gypsy font.¬† The huge big button is from Stampin Up and I’ve added a double bow made from some sparkly ribbon from my stash.¬† It certainly is a brightly coloured card!

Anyway, I know it’s short and sweet but I’ve had a long day and I really need to go to my bed.

Thank you to everyone who stops by and has a look at my musings.

Back again soon

Rachel

Good Evening All

What a week I’ve had ūüė¶¬† Firstly my boiler is making rather strange noises and even though I’ve spent over ¬£400 trying to establish the cause, I don’t seem to be any better off!¬† Then I spent 3 hours sitting in the hospital waiting to see a consultant coz the administration staff had triple booked his appointments – really not a happy person at this stage.¬† Then to top it all off, my gearbox died and I had to go out and buy a new car, coz it wasn’t worth repairing!¬† All in the space of 3 days.¬† So I think we can safely say, that I’ve had my fair share of¬†“spooky” happenings.

Anyway, I have at least managed to make some cards this week – great de-stressing pasttime ūüôā

So, having¬†delved into the Sundae of Seasons CD for Halloween last time, I¬†had another look¬†and found these images to do with sewing, and got some inspiration¬†from the¬†Polkadoodles website.¬† The card is¬†8×8 and I’ve put a base layer of blue card and then some yellow gingham paper, onto which I have stamped some faux stitching to create the border and distressed the edges with my little Tim Holtz tool.¬† The images have been printed from the CD as has the sentiment – I think the images are brilliant, they’re very realistic and dimensional.¬† The swatches, are various gingham papers from my stash, cut out using the spellbinders swatch die in different sizes.¬† I’ve also used my spellbinders to cut out and layer the sentiment.¬† I’ve then added some buttons and a little bit of ribbon to finish it off.

And I’d like to enter it into the following challenges:-

Anything Goes – Anything Goes

Moving Along with the Times – Stitch Up

That Craft Place – Tic Tac Toe (Dies – Border – Button)

The Crafty Pad – Anything Goes

Well that’s all for now, in the middle of¬†cooking dinner for the parents.¬† Mum is¬†lending me her car to get through the week until I get my new one.¬† Will be back again soon.
