make a wishGood Afternoon All

Something a little bit different today, and just a tad cheeky 😛

Using the current Mojo Monday layout and the ABC Challenge topic, I was inspired to make this very male orientated card.

I’ve used an A5 white card onto which I have matted and layered some black and gold card and a red imitation leather paper.  The various cogs have been die cut using my ever increasing stash of spellbinders and the very lovely lady is a Kenny K digistamp called Pitstop Penny, who has been coloured in with Promarkers.  The buckle on the ribbon is also a die, cut out of black card and then I’ve gone over it with Glossy Accents to make it shiny and the sentiment is a peel off.

I need some cards for men, for one of the girls at work, so I think this will give her an alternative to the usual sport and car options.

Anyway, must crack on, things to do, but I’ll be back again soon

Best WishesGood Evening All

A pretty pink card for you today using one of my many Tatty Ted toppers.  I’ve used the current Mojo Monday layout on an A5 card.  The papers are some really old ones from my stash and these have been matted and layered onto white card.  I’ve faux stitched round the sections with a white gelly roll pen and added some white ribbon and pink gems to finish it off.

I’m not stopping long as I’m still feeling rather poorly and hopefully my dinner will be cooked in a mo 🙂

But I shall be back again soon

February pageGood Evening All,

Well here is the second page of my calendar – a little challenge that I have set myself this year.

Keeping in line with my January page, I’ve used a light brown spotty paper for the background, from the same paper pack as before and distressed it with some Brushed Corduroy.  The hearts are a set of nested shapes from spellbinders and these have been cut, embossed and inked, again with the Brushed Corduroy.  This month, I thought the splash of colour should come from the lettering, so these have been coloured, quite a bright red, to contrast with the browns and white.

It looks quite different to the January page, but I’m hoping it’ll all come together at the end 😛

I’m going to enter this into the Crafty Calendar Challenge for this month, which is Love and Marriage.

Well I know it’s short and sweet today, but suffering from a dreadful cold and struggling to do anything for long 😦 , but I shall be back again soon.

life is a journeyGood Morning All

Been up since 5am for some reason – wide awake – really not a good idea! Not in work till later, so can see me snoozing as the day progresses.  Oh well 😛

Had a crafty evening though last night and produced this card, which is based on the current Mojo Monday layout and should fit in nicely with the current ABC Challenge, Cards for Men challenge, One Stop Craft Challenge and The Pink Elephant challenge.

It’s a 5×7 card and I’ve used some Polka Dot Parade paper from Stampin Up, which I have matted onto black card to give it definition as it’s a very strong red.  The sentiment is a stamp from a Hunkydory Golden Oldies set, which I haven’t had out of the packet before (how bad is that!) and the heart is a spellbinders die, which has been cut and then embossed.  I’ve added some bling and some faux stitching around the edge, although you can’t see that very well in this photo.

Well I need to go and iron my work blouse before I doze off, so I’ll be back again soon, hopefully with the second page of my calendar 🙂

phone home… 01/02/2013

Mobile Phone cardGood Evening All

I seem to have lost my mojo lately and have really struggled to make some cards this week for some reason 😦  Thank heavens for the various challenge sites, is all I can say!

This card has been made using the current Mojo Monday layout and is obviously for a 16 year old girl!  Very pink and sparkly.

It’s an 8×8 card onto which I have matted and layered some pink glitter card and then some white embossed card.  You can’t see it very well, but I’ve used a Martha Stewart punch to create an edge on the right hand side of the second lot of layers.  The phone has been made from an Arty Farty template and always impresses people.  I’ve used some spellbinder dies, as usual, for the circle and tags and my cricut to cut the numbers out.

I’m going to enter this into the following challenges:-

Mojo Monday

One Stop Craft Challenge

Hopefully I’ll be back again soon with my mojo intact 🙂
