celebrate Good Evening All

Thought we’d have a change today from the usual squares and rectangles, so I’ve gone with the round option from the current Mojo Monday challenge.

Also thought I’d have a change of scenery on the colour front too and have gone with a very bright orange double sided paper from Stampin Up.

The sentiment is from a stamp set, also from Stampin Up, which stamps the outlines of the letters and I’ve then filled them using a quickie glue pen and some orange glitter.

I’ve used my grand nesties to produce the card base and the various layers and then my cricut to cut the two stars.  The tabs have been made using a shaped nestie which I’ve then cut in half.

A short and sweet post this evening as I need to get myself organised for work in the morning 😦

But I shall be back again soon

Sweet twisted triangleGood Morning All

Well its very white outside, so stuck indoors and managing to do some craft in amongst the usual housework, washing, ironing, blah, blah, blah 🙂

Despite what some people might say, I’m actually quite a nice person and I like to give my staff a little something at Easter to say Thank You for their hard work.  It’s really just an excuse for chocolate, but don’t tell them that!  So this year I have made these little triangle shaped sweetie boxes and filled them with mini chocolate easter eggs.

twisted trianglesMy good friend, Sonia, showed me how to do these last year at Halloween – she made them for the Trick or Treaters and had little scary monsters on the front of them.

I’ve just used a selection of papers which have been cut to 4.5 x 5.5 inches, rolled into a tube shape and stuck in place and then you flatten one end and stick it, fill the tube and then flatten the other end, but at the opposite angle to the first one, which gives it that twisted triangle shape.  Both ends have then been passed through a paper crimper, to help seal the join.  Hope this makes sense?  I’ve used a sizzix die for the little white rabbit and just coloured its nose with a pink gel pen.

And here they are all ready to go!

I’m going to enter these into the Crafty Calendar Challenge this month, for their Easter Egg-stravaganza

Anyway must go and brave this snow, need to do some shopping, will be back again soon

Good Evening All

Firstly let me say that I am thrilled to bits this evening, as I have just found out that I have won a prize on the Papertake Weekly Challenge for my last card – yippee :-D.

This is the first time I have won something and it feels great!

Razzleberry Splash Here is my latest card.

I have used the current Mojo Monday challenge layout on a 5×7 base card.

All of the card and paper have come from the Razzleberry Splash simply scrappin’ kit from Stampin’Up and I just so happened to have some matching ribbon, also from Stampin’ Up.

Bit brief this evening as I have to do some revision for my First Aid Refresher assessment tomorrow 😦

but I’ll be back again soon

18 todayGood Evening All

A large card for you today.  This is A4 in size, which I had to make from scratch – don’t go this large very often!

I’ve used the current Mojo Monday challenge for the layout, the image is a House Mouse decoupage design which I’ve matted and layered onto the pink, blue and white card.  The scallops at the bottom are a Martha Stewart punch and I’ve used nesties and my cricut for the circle and numbers.  I managed to make the bow quite full by wrapping the ribbon around my bow maker four times.

I still find making large cards a bit intimidating, but I think this one is OK.

I’d like to enter it into the following challenges:-

Mojo Monday

ABC Challenge – Just as you like

That Craft Place – Anything Goes

Papertake Weekly – 1-2-3 (1 bow, 2 mice, 3 pearls)

A quick mention to Abbey, whose birthday this is for this weekend.

Anyhow, I shall no doubt be back again soon 🙂

together… 09/03/2013

togetherGood Afternoon All,

Sorry for the lack of blogging lately, just don’t seem to have had time for anything!

Anyhow, went a bit retro with this one, the inspiration coming from the stamps – which came free on my Craft Stamper magazine 🙂  Thought it would make a very modern anniversary card for my friend later on this month.  Its my take on the current Mojo Monday challenge and the ABC Challenge

I’ve used a 5×7 card and matted and layered some blue card with some papers from the Basic Grey Euphoria range.  The two icons have been stamped with versamark and embossed with WOW embossing powder in fluorescent blue.  Thankfully the colour of the card, the powder and the button all matched, so it came together quite nicely!  The letters have been die cut using one of the Xcut dies.  I think I would prefer it if the letters were all the same size, but that’s just me!

Well, seeing as it’s Mother’s Day tomorrow, best get cracking on a card 😛

So I shall be back again soon – all going well.
