Fabulous ShoesGood Morning All

Well we had cracking thunderstorms yesterday in our area, so I spent the majority of my day crafting, as you do!  Not at work this week, so have that luxury.

And this was one of the projects I made 🙂

I have used the current Mojo Monday challenge layout, the current ABC Challenge, which is R for Roses are Red and my Fabulous Shoes CD from Katy Sue Designs for the papers and the image.

All I actually added was some green card, the ribbon and the pearl.  So a fairly simple card, if truth be told.

Got another day of crafty stuff today, seeing as I’m stuck at home whilst my boiler gets serviced, and although I hate to mention the “C” word, but I am going to start working on some Christmas bits and pieces – arrrrrgh!

So, I shall get myself a cuppa and get cracking.

Back again soon

little thingsGood Evening All

Am off this week, so have had a little bit of time to myself to be able to do what I like.  So, this afternoon, seeing as it was a fraction cooler in my craft room, I have made this offering.

I have used the Afternoon Daydream Scrappin Kit from Stampin Up again for my design papers and card, a 5 x 7 base white card and the current Mojo Monday Challenge layout for the design.

The sentiment is a stamp from Tim Holtz and the label has been die cut using my romantic rectangle spellbinders.  The ribbon and flowers are from my stash and thankfully co-ordinated really well 🙂

Providing the weather remain reasonable, I shall continue crafting this evening, so will be back again with something new.  Thanks for dropping by.

character boxes 18/07/2013

punch art boxesGood Afternoon All

I know I’ve been quiet for a few weeks, but I can assure you I haven’t been idle, don’t get the chance!

The nursing home, where my Mum does voluntary work, is due to have a fete in August, and although we can’t be there on that date, because we have a craft show to attend, Mum still wanted to provide some items for them to sell.

So, having been to a punch art class recently with our wonderful teacher, Sonia, who showed us how to create a variety of characters using various punches, I decided that I would make this pirate and dog.  Both have been made into little boxes, so that they can be filled with sweeties or children’s stationery for the fete – aren’t they cute 🙂

I didn’t have any of the punches that we used at the class, so my characters have been made using various spellbinders dies – of which I have many!!!  So technically, they’re not punch art, but a very different way to use your dies.

I’ve made 5 of each and have now handed them over to Mum to deal with the contents.

Anyway, must crack on, things to do, but I’ll be back again soon

daydreaming in the afternoon 02/07/2013

daydreaming in the afternoonGood Morning All

I actually managed to be quite productive yesterday evening and made this card ready for my friends wedding anniversary later in the week.

I’ve used the current Mojo Monday challenge layout and a “simply scrappin kit” from Stampin Up called Afternoon Daydream.  The colours in this kit are gorgeous, nice and bright and summery.  The kit comes with 4 different colours of card stock, two double sided design papers and 3 12×12 sheets of card stock stickers.  The only things I’ve added to the mix are some sticky gems on the butterfly, the faux stitching around the edge which has been done with a gel pen which matches the mustard colour beautifully and then the words have been die cut using Britannia word dies.

Anyhow I’m afraid I must dash, need to get to work as always, but I’ll be back again soon 🙂
