baby bluesGood Evening All

A celebratory card this week, for my friend Kay, who became a Grandma for the first time šŸ™‚

I’ve used the current Mojo Monday challenge layout, some baby blue card from my stash, design papers from Lily of the Valley and a Forever Friends topper.Ā  The sentiment was done on the computer, to make sure it fitted in the space!Ā  I’ve used my Spellbinder dies and the edging has been done withĀ a Martha Stewart punch.

Cute card for a cute baby šŸ™‚

Got a few days off now for the Easter break, so hoping to spend some time crafting, if I can, so will be back again soon

Happy New Year 01/01/2013

Happy New YearHappy New Year everyone šŸ™‚

Well today is the 1st Anniversary of my blog and I’m chuffed to bits to have reached my firstĀ milestone – even if my photography skills don’t seem to have improved much over the last year!

A great opportunity to say “Thank You” to those of you that check in with me and see what I’ve been up to andĀ also to those who set the challenges for us to enter throughout the year.

Anyway,Ā having packed away the Christmas tree and decorationsĀ for another year (I know I do it earlier than you should), I managed to create this card thisĀ afternoon, taking inspiration from the current Mojo Monday layout and the ABC Challenge of Embossing.

The base card is 6×6, onto which I have matted some kraft card and some white card, which has been embossed using the garden lattice m-bossibility folder.Ā  I’ve then matted and layered some moreĀ cardĀ to create the smaller square and this has been stamped around the edges with some faux stitching stamps, which I think were from Papermania.Ā  The letters have been cut out using First Steps sizzlets and the bear is a Forever Friends layered die.

This card will be winging its way over to America within the next day or two, as unfortunately I didn’t have an address for a friend of mine who livesĀ there and have had to wait for her Christmas card to arrive with her new address.Ā  So I’m hoping this will make up for the lack of a Christmas card and her Birthday card šŸ˜›

Well that’s all for now, the animals need their tea, as do I, but I’ll be back again soon

time for tea 22/06/2012

Good Morning All

I have been asked to make a card for a colleagues mum which has something to do with Tea – apparently she drinks loads of it, just like me!Ā  So once I eventually got going yesterday, I managed to come up with this.

It’s an 8×8 card and I’ve used an old Friday Sketchers layout.Ā  The papers are from the First Edition Boho Chic collection.Ā  I’ve gone for a green and orange colour combinationĀ as the lady has an Irish heritage.Ā  The image is from Docrafts and I stamped it first onto white card and coloured in the teddy and gave the teapot some shading with my promarkers.Ā  I thenĀ paper pieced the design onĀ the teapot using one of theĀ papers and the background card.Ā  I stamped the image again and cut out the teddy’s paws, so that theyĀ look like they come up and overĀ the teapot.Ā  A little bit of sparkly ribbon and some eyelets finish it off.

I’m going to enter it into the following challenges:-

Allsorts – paper piecing

Cupcake Craft Challenges – something in the eyelet

So, we’ll see how we do and I’ll be back again soon šŸ™‚

We will miss you 22/04/2012

Good Afternoon All

Well I have another leaving card this week – one of the chaps that works for me has decided to retire and I am absolutely gutted šŸ˜¦Ā  Mind you, I don’t blame him!

So this is the card I made for him.Ā  I’ve used a whiteĀ A5 base card onto which I’veĀ then matted and layered some brown card and the Spice Cake papers from “Stampin Up” – really like these and have used them more than I thought I would.Ā  The layout is from Mojo Monday – challenge 236 (unfortunately I was too late to enter it though!), but never mind!

The forever friends bear has been cut using a layered die and I’veĀ mounted him onto a nestability die cut circle and another nestie die, which as usual, I can’t remember the name of šŸ˜®Ā  To finish it off I’ve then added some green rafiaĀ and a peel off sticker sentiment.

Anyway, that’s all for now, got some cards to make this afternoon, so I’ll be back again soon
