Sunflower Good Evening All

P1020687Sorry I’ve been absent for a while, just haven’t been in the mood 😦

Anyhow, had one on me today and came up with this 🙂

The sketch from the current Fusion Card Challenge made me think of a card I’d seen previously which was like two cards in one.  The little card on the right hand side overlaps the main card on the left to hold the card closed – if that makes sense?

The base card is A6 in size and I’ve used some Lily of the Valley papers to cover it.  The sunflower is a Spellbinder die and the sentiment on the inside is from Visible Image.

I’ve kept it very simple today 🙂 need to get back into the swing of things!

to dream…. 25/04/2014

to dreamGood Morning All,

Well I did manage to do some crafting over the Easter weekend eventually – although it wasn’t the best weekend – the puppy was poorly and the boiler decided to stop working, so not the most relaxing time 😦

Anyhow, this is what I did, it’s an A5 card which has been layered up with some chocolate brown card and design papers from the Wellington pack from DoCrafts.  The image is another one from Lily of the Valley.  I’ve then added some Adage Tickets by Tim Holtz, which I’ve inked over with vintage photo distress ink, the ribbon is from my stash and the little button has been done with a Sizzix cut and emboss folder, which I think I got from Stampin Up?

As usual, I’ve taken the current Mojo Monday challenge layout and followed that.

I also forgot to show you all, what I did for my staff this year for their Easter pressie.

I made carrots 🙂carrots1

The orange part has been done using the Petal Cone die from Stampin Up, which the lovely Sonia lent me for the purpose, and then the green tops have been cut on her Silhouette machine.  I put little white chocolate rabbits inside and a card candy in the centre of the green bit to finish it off (which you can’t see in this photo).  Seemed to go down well with the staff – I didn’t have any left when we finished up for the weekend 😀

Well, I’d best go, got a man coming round to talk about a new boiler in a little while, but I’ll be back again soon

baby bluesGood Evening All

A celebratory card this week, for my friend Kay, who became a Grandma for the first time 🙂

I’ve used the current Mojo Monday challenge layout, some baby blue card from my stash, design papers from Lily of the Valley and a Forever Friends topper.  The sentiment was done on the computer, to make sure it fitted in the space!  I’ve used my Spellbinder dies and the edging has been done with a Martha Stewart punch.

Cute card for a cute baby 🙂

Got a few days off now for the Easter break, so hoping to spend some time crafting, if I can, so will be back again soon

birthday bowls 02/04/2014

birthday bowlsGood Morning All

Figured I’d get this posted whilst the puppy is sleeping, having had her walk 🙂

As usual, I have used the current Mojo Monday challenge for my layout. This week, it’s tall and skinny, so I’ve used a DL card for my base, which has been layered up with some chocolate brown card and design papers from Lily of the Valley from the Country Gent collection – luv these.

The image is one from the John Byars Nostalgia collection from Papermania, which has been stamped with Momento Rich Cocoa.  I’ve then just added some buttons, a tag with a peel off sentiment and some bakers twine.

Was quite lucky really, as every bit of paper and card was from the bits and pieces left over from previous cards, didn’t have to cut into a new sheet of anything – so a great way to use up those odds and ends that you’re never quite sure whether to keep or throw away!

Well, I’d best make the most of the peace and quiet and get some bits done, so will leave it there for now but will be back again soon

P1020304Good Morning All

Well today is crop day, so whilst I’m just waiting for my crafty friends to arrive, thought I better upload my card for the current Mojo Monday layout challenge before it’s too late 🙂

I have, once again, used an image from Lily of the Valley.  This time it’s from the Jack, Patch & Puss Art Pad, and I’ve married it up with co-ordinating papers from the Country Gent collection.

The sentiment is made up from peel offs and the hearts have been cut out with various dies.

The card itself is A5 in size.

Well, they’ve started to arrive so will need to leave it there for the mo, but I’ll be back again soon 🙂

little boy blue 01/01/2014

Filed under: Challenges,Lily of the Valley — rachelscraftyfolder @ 9:00 am

little boy blueWell Happy New Year everyone, hope that it’s a good one x

So my first card of the year follows the current Mojo Monday layout and uses Lily of the Valley papers and sketch pads.  The image is from the “toddlers” set and the papers are from the “Bear Necessities” pad.  So very sweet 🙂

The wording has been done using some rub-ons from my stash.

I think it’s going to be a rather quiet day today, so hoping to do some more crafting later and will therefore be back again soon 🙂

Thanks for stopping by

the wrong ball… 20/08/2013

Filed under: Challenges,Lily of the Valley — rachelscraftyfolder @ 7:24 pm

the wrong ballGood Evening All,

Let me explain…. it is my Godson’s birthday on Thursday and I was adamant that he will be 13 and is into football.  But you know that feeling – something niggling in the background 🙂

So, I checked with his mother and yes, he is 13 but he’s into rugby, not football – and you know what men are like about their balls!!!!!

So, last night, rather rapidly, I produced this card using the current Mojo Monday challenge layout, the Country Gent papers by Lily of the Valley & NitWit Collections and Papermania Nostalgia stamps.

I’ve kept it very true to the challenge and as you can see, have added no extra bits at all, mainly because I needed to get it in the post today and secondly cause it was very late and I was very tired!

Anyway, short and sweet again, but still need to do some work this evening 😦

Back again soon

Rachel
