Kraft Card 21/03/2015

Kraft CardGood Evening All

Had a crafty moment this afternoon and came up with this one, taking inspiration from the current Mojo Monday challenge.

It’s all been put together from bits and pieces and leftovers, of which I seem to have loads 🙂

The card is a 5×7 kraft card and I think the papers are Graphic 45, but don’t hold me to that! I’ve used my Brother Scan”N”Cut to do the heart, the leaves are a Sue Wilson die and the flourishes are a Pink Frog die. Little bit of ribbon, peel offs and gems to finish it up.

And should have been in the post a day ago! Better late than never, eh 🙂

Back again soon

with love alwaysWell hello there, it’s been a while, but here is a card I managed to make today!

It’s all been done with various dies:- Sue Wilson’s Lattice Heart striplet die, and Petit Vinery die, a Marianne die and Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur stamp and die set.  All rounded off with some pearls and a bow.

Not too bad, seeing as I’ve been out of practice for a while 🙂

Hopefully I shall post again soon, but the new job is keeping me a little busy at the moment, so bear with me

gorjuss girlie 30/11/2014

gorjuss girlieGood Afternoon All

A gorjuss girlie today, especially for my goddaughter, who turns 13 this week 🙂

I’ve used the current Mojo Monday challenge, and made a tall & skinny card.  All the design papers are from the Gorjuss collection.

The frame for the small image came with the image, but I’ve had to improvise on the larger frame for the mat.  Thankfully, my Purple Cow cutter has a deckle edged blade and I’ve given the white card a light inking with black soot to tone it in with the other one, and then I’ve added a peel off sentiment which I had to colour black to tie in.

I don’t feel like I’ve done much on the crafty front lately, been a bit tied up with other things, but I suppose I’d best get going on Christmas cards at some point, it’ll be here soon 🙂

Anyhow, gotta go, but thanks for stopping by

let’s travel 09/11/2014

travelGood Evening All

Today was our monthly crop day, and we had set ourselves the theme of travel – no particular reason why, just simply because 🙂

So, after some delving around the various boxes and drawers in my craft room, I found this rather appropriate kit from HunkyDory.  It has a steam punky, time and travel theme to it, with co-ordinating papers and die-cuts, so was just right for today.

I’ve used an A5 base card and just added some brown metallic card to mat and layer, everything else is out of the kit.  For the layout, I’ve followed this week’s Mojo Monday challenge and it all seemed to come together quite well this morning 🙂

Went a bit downhill after that! Only managed half a card, which I must go and finish this evening after my dinner, otherwise it’ll sit there for ages in the UFO pile 😀

So best crack on, but I’ll be back again soon

house full of pretty little things 02/11/2014

little houseGood Evening All

Have had a lovely day today – I’ve been at a workshop with Hels Sheridan hosted by Daisy’s, and this is what we made 🙂

There was lots of inking and stamping, but most importantly for me, the chance to learn about the melt pot.

I have one upstairs – it’s still in it’s original packaging 😀

So I’ve learnt how to do faux enamelling, how to use moulds to create embellishments and different coloured UTEE to produce a marbling effect – it’s been great fun learning something new although I think I may need to practice a wee bit.

Might also need to have a little shopping spree to allow me to do all this – ha ha any excuse 🙂

Anyway, must go, but I’ll try to be back again soon

dangling daisies 19/10/2014

Good Afternoon Alltrio of daisy's

This week I have used the Fusion Card Challenge for my inspiration and made this card with dangling daisies 🙂

I had to work backwards on this one – starting with the blue card in the centre – in order to get my apertures in the right place on each layer.  The daisies have been die cut (Spellbinders D-Lites range) and then stuck back to back over some cotton which is running through the layers of card and allows them to dangle.  Doesn’t show in the photo, but I’ve popped a Wink of Stella on the leaves, so they also sparkle when they move.

Bit fiddly, but made a change from doing a flat card 🙂

Unfortunately I am off to work again, so must dash, but I shall be back again soon

woo-hoo! 11/10/2014

woo hooGood Afternoon All

This may be a bit of a swift post as I’m going to work in a little while, but wanted to try and get this done today if I can 🙂

Yesterday was my friend Kay’s birthday and this is the card that I made for her.  I’ve used the current Mojo Monday challenge layout as my guide and an A5 card as my base.

The papers are all from the First Edition Desert Blooms paper pack and are nice warm autumnal colours, which I’ve matted and layered onto brown card.  The owl is a Cottage Cutz die, which allows you to piece together the owl in different papers, so you can be as artistic as you like!

The branch comes with the owl die, but I thought it needed some leaves, so I’ve used an X-cut Botanical Embossing Punch for the ivy leaves.

The sentiment is from the Stampin Up  Just Saying Word Bubbles stamp and die set.

Gotta go, but will hopefully be back again soon
