Tomorrow, my parents will have been married for 49 years 😮
According to a variety of websites, the modern meaning of 49 years of wedded bliss is luxury, so this card is meant to give that impression!
I have used pearlescant cardstock throughout which gives it that shimmer effect. The base layer has been pierced around the edges and then there are two layers of matting. I’ve then used two nesties to cut the lattice square with an aperture in which to place the verse. The leaves are also spellbinder dies and the flowers are the Martha Stewart waterlily punch. The key is a Tim Holtz die which I’ve then embossed with his distress embossing powders, giving it that rusty look. All finished off with a cream ribbon bow.
Hopefully they’ll like it, and I hope you do too.
Back again soon
