Accordian Card 15/08/2015

Accordian CardGood Evening

So today was my niece’s birthday and having recently purchased the Die’sire Create a Card Accordian Dies, I decided to use them to make Sarah’s card.

I’ve used a Lime Green and Pink colour scheme, which I thought would be nice and bright for a young girls card.  It also meant the overlay – which is the snowflake one, didn’t look like a Christmas design, especially once I’d added the little pink flowers 🙂

The dies certainly made this style of card much easier to create, we just need some generic overlays now from Crafters Companion so that they can be used all year round!

I’m using one of the other shapes to do my Godson’s card now, so will try and remember to post that once it’s complete 🙂

double shutter card 12/07/2015

double shutter card

Well, this card has been a bit of a challenge, especially as I haven’t done anything in ages!

Took me quite a while to work out how best to display all the different elements that the person wanted on the card, especially as they are unrelated in any way, shape or form!

Anyhow, I eventually decided that this double shutter card would work and today I think I’m there?

At last 🙂

it’s my dad’s birthday 24/05/2015

DadGood Evening All

Well, as you may have gathered, it’s my Dad’s birthday this week, so I’ve created this, using the current Mojo Monday challenge 🙂

I’ve flipped the design, so that it worked the way I wanted it to and used an A5 card.  It’s all basically die cuts and a few brads, nothing extraordinary I’m afraid!  Needed to get it done today, so kept it fairly simple.

That’s all for now, gotta go

Thanks

Rachel

Book ArtGood Afternoon All

Something different today 🙂

Yesterday was our little gang’s crop day and we decided to have a go at book folding / book art.  It is as easy as they say it is, but it does take a little bit of time – I’ve just finished mine this afternoon.  Mind you I do make all the cups of tea 🙂

I still need to decorate the book, but I’m quite pleased with it, so thought I would share it today, as I haven’t made a card for a couple of weeks.

This pattern is one of Debbi Moore’s, I managed to get her two books whilst they were available on Create and Craft.

Anyway, just thought it was good to share 🙂

well wishesGood Afternoon All

Well, this was supposed to be a card for my brother and his wife, for their wedding anniversary next week but it didn’t quite turn out that way!

Using the Fusion Card Challenge, I sorted out the colours and then the layout, cut all my bits and pieces out, but once I’d put it all together it didn’t feel like an anniversary card.  Can’t explain why, that’s just the way it was 🙂

Anyhow, that point apart, I used a spellbinders lattice die to create the centre panel, which I’ve then sandwiched between the frame and the backing.  The flowers are the Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur set which have been stamped, clear embossed and then cut using the corresponding die and the pearls are from the Hobby House.

I even managed to find some swirls and leaves in my bit box to use up too!

Just for information, I have now made an anniversary card, so they won’t miss out 🙂

Right, well off to work now, so will hopefully be back again soon.

Thanks for stopping by

feathery thanks 29/03/2015

Feathery ThanksWell Good Morning Everyone,

It’s a dismal day outside and although I really need to do some housework, I thought I’d better finish the card I started last night!

I’ve used a 5×7 card and the Mojo Monday Challenge layout.  The papers are from the First Edition Desert Blooms pad.  With the two strips though, I had a real crafty moment and placed a border peel off on the paper and then inked over the top with Memento Morocco and then removed the peel offs – leaving the pattern behind.

The feathers are a set which I’ve only just got from “Stampin Up” called Four Feathers, and the sentiment is their Outlined Occasions set.

Right, I better go and clear up my mess and start this housework 😦

Will try and be back again soon

Kraft Card 21/03/2015

Kraft CardGood Evening All

Had a crafty moment this afternoon and came up with this one, taking inspiration from the current Mojo Monday challenge.

It’s all been put together from bits and pieces and leftovers, of which I seem to have loads 🙂

The card is a 5×7 kraft card and I think the papers are Graphic 45, but don’t hold me to that! I’ve used my Brother Scan”N”Cut to do the heart, the leaves are a Sue Wilson die and the flourishes are a Pink Frog die. Little bit of ribbon, peel offs and gems to finish it up.

And should have been in the post a day ago! Better late than never, eh 🙂

Back again soon

with love always 08/03/2015

with love alwaysWell hello there, it’s been a while, but here is a card I managed to make today!

It’s all been done with various dies:- Sue Wilson’s Lattice Heart striplet die, and Petit Vinery die, a Marianne die and Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur stamp and die set.  All rounded off with some pearls and a bow.

Not too bad, seeing as I’ve been out of practice for a while 🙂

Hopefully I shall post again soon, but the new job is keeping me a little busy at the moment, so bear with me

gorjuss girlie 30/11/2014

gorjuss girlieGood Afternoon All

A gorjuss girlie today, especially for my goddaughter, who turns 13 this week 🙂

I’ve used the current Mojo Monday challenge, and made a tall & skinny card.  All the design papers are from the Gorjuss collection.

The frame for the small image came with the image, but I’ve had to improvise on the larger frame for the mat.  Thankfully, my Purple Cow cutter has a deckle edged blade and I’ve given the white card a light inking with black soot to tone it in with the other one, and then I’ve added a peel off sentiment which I had to colour black to tie in.

I don’t feel like I’ve done much on the crafty front lately, been a bit tied up with other things, but I suppose I’d best get going on Christmas cards at some point, it’ll be here soon 🙂

Anyhow, gotta go, but thanks for stopping by
